A brush train is the shortest style aside from no train at all. It is just a small amount of extra material which brushes the ground behind you. Best train style for outdoor weddings/ dancing.

up to 3'  Court trains  give added presence without too much  hassle. They are good for all types of ceremony.

3-5' The chapel train is a great way to make a statement and is good for most types of ceremony. Not recommended for outdoor weddings.

6-8' A cathedral train is the choice for a very formal or traditional bride or one who wants to make a statement. This train looks great coming down the aisle but will require assistance to keep in order. Best for formal church weddings and indoor venues.

9'+ The royal train is a showstopper. All eyes will be on you and it will fill the entire aisle as you progress to the alter. You will definitely need assistance managing the fabric. It gives a regal presence and is best for very formal weddings.

Watteau trains are a single panel of material which attaches at the upper back of your gown. They can be any length and add an unusual touch.
